Message from the Principal
St. Xavier’s School Durgapur, has been promoting holistic education and shaping young minds to face life’s challenges and to succeed in today’s world.
Located in the industrial town of Durgapur, the motto of the School is “Like Gold in a Furnace.” It highlights the constant and dynamic process of self-purification to attain the best precious results. The Motto also summarizes what Socrates had said about good education: “Education is a means to bring out the best that is latent in every person.”
In fifty-eight of its existence, the School has remained a home away from home for thousands of students and teachers, who share a family relationship with St. Xavier’s School, Durgapur, thereby making it an appropriate place for learning.
